Galveston Island Free Trolley Bus Rides Throughout Summer 2017
With restorations to the rail trolley cars underway, Galveston Island welcomes trolley buses to the island.
A missing piece of Galveston’s charm has returned. While our historic rail trolleys undergo million dollar restorations, four rubber wheel trolleys will be servicing the trolley routes and providing island visitors access from the east end of the island to the west, with numerous stops in between.
The service operates seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The trolley buses will service a downtown route that has seven stops through Galveston’s historic downtown, a ride down 25th Street where riders will transfer to the Seawall Trolley, and stops all along Seawall Boulevard from Stewart Beach to Moody Gardens.
